Week 28 July 9 - 15

Day 1

The Lord will oppress Jerusalem and Judah, they are against Him and defy His glorious presence.  They have brought this evil on themselves.  Woe to those who don't regard the deeds of the Lord or see the work of His hands.  Woe to those who call evil good and good evil and woe to those who are wise in your own eyes.

Day 2

The Lord is coming and He will bring destruction because of their evil ways.  Woe to those who devise wickedness and evil.  There were some kings who ordered their ways before the Lord their God.  God said that there would be a sign of the virgin that will conceive and bear a Son.  His name shall be Immanuel -God with us. The child will be born and and his name will be Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Day 3

The Lord said that there would be judgement on arrogance and oppression.  But the people still didn't turn to the Lord in their distress. We live in a country that honestly feels like it may be going down...  This is the time for the people to turn to the Lord.   But God will judge and gather His people.

Day 4

God is against those who are against His people.  He will watch over us and fight for you if you are His.
King Hezekiah begins to reign in the South.  He trusted in the Lord and clung to the Lord and didn't depart from following Him but kept His commandments.  He reopened the doors of the Lord and repaired them.

Day 5

Judgement coming to those who went after other gods.  Return to the Lord.  God desires the steadfast love and not sacrifice.  He desires the knowledge of Him rather than burnt offerings.

Day 6

King Hezekiah sends letters to all the people to come and keep the Passover at the House of the Lord.  He told them to yield themselves and the Lord's anger would turn away. Some laughed and mocked but others humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.
Sing aloud to God our strength - Shout for Joy.  God says I Am the Lord your God, Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.   But some of the people wouldn't listen and He gave them over to their stubborn hearts.
People began giving a tithe and it was given in abundance.  Hezekiah continued to do what was right and faithful before the Lord.  Everything he did for the Lord, he did with all of his heart and he prospered.

Day 7

Others continued to do evil and pride surrounded them.  They still didn't seek the Lord and He will bring them down.  Woe to them. There was great iniquity and hatred.  They were deeply corrupted and their hearts were false.

Woe to those who don't know the the Lord.  Destruction will come.  So come to the Lord if you haven't already.  Cry out to Him and ask Him to come into your life and save you.  He is waiting for you and He loves you so very much.   If you need help praying to Him you are welcome to email me and I will call you pray with you.  djjkglover@msn.com
